Danny Dimes Signs 4-Year Contract with New York Giants

Injury-Plagued Quarterback Gets Long-Term Extension

Daniel Jones, the New York Giants' starting quarterback, has signed a four-year contract with the team, the Giants announced today. The deal is reportedly worth $154 million, with $92 million guaranteed.

Jones, who has been nicknamed "Danny Dimes" by fans, has been with the Giants since 2019. He has started 36 games for the team and has thrown for 8,426 yards, 45 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions.

The 2022 season was a difficult one for Jones. He missed the first six games of the season with a neck injury and then missed the final six games of the season with a torn ACL. In the games he did play, Jones threw for 2,428 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.

Despite his injury-plagued season, the Giants clearly believe in Jones's potential. The team exercised his fifth-year option for the 2023 season and then signed him to this long-term contract.

Jones will be the Giants' starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. He will be expected to lead the team back to the playoffs in 2023.
